Two little words that seem to strike fear in the hearts of anti-gun elected officials and activists alike.  "There will be blood in the streets."  "There will be shoot-outs over fender benders."  "Permits will be handed out like candy on the street corner."

What the anti-gun side never seems to understand is the fact that criminals DO NOT and WILL NOT pay attention to "common sense" gun laws.  They ply their trade on peaceful citizens, regardless of what legislation is in place to "prevent" them from doing so.

Think of the analogy of wolves, sheep, and sheep dogs.  The criminals are the wolves.  Those that allow themselves to be preyed on and cannot (or will not) defend themselves are the sheep.  Those who choose to defend themselves and do not allow themselves to be attacked without putting up a fight are the sheep dogs.  Which one are you?

Iowa Carry does not, and will not support legislation that permits individuals who have criminal backgrounds to obtain an Iowa Permit to Carry Weapons.  Rather, we want peaceful, law-abiding citizens to feel free to exercise their God given right to defend their lives and the lives of their loved ones, both in the home AND out of the home.

Our mission is simple.  Any citizen should have the right to apply for an Iowa Permit to Carry Weapons.  If the citizen meets all training requirements and has a clean criminal background, the permit is issued.  No questions, no restrictions.
